Stone into Steel: A Hyperweave Adventure
Isn’t it funny how we on earth can extract metallic dust from powdered stone and then smelt it into steel. well someone on the rim has finally reinvented that concept! Helping all across the rim finally make it possible to manufacture steel.
A balanced infinite resource utility mod for your rim world.
- Adds the Electromagnetic Sieve, 2×3 building unlocked with stone cutting and microelectronics.
- Adds a new resource, metallic dust
- Adds the ability to manufacture steel via smithy or smelter
- Add/Remove Save game safe
- Incompatible with mods that remove Steel, Chunks, Smithy, or the Smelter
- <== 1.5 Update ==>
Added a research project Tab called A Hyperweave Adventure: A lore friendly master project where your researchers test and theorize with metallic dust in attempts to re-make hyperweave. During this research venture your colony will unlock…
- Plasteel Fabrication
- A new way to produce chemfuel
- Synthread production
- Uranium production
- A way to convert food types
- Hyperweave production
- Neutroamine production
- The ability to craft Glitterwolrd Medicine
- And the ability to print most resources after spaceflight has been researched such as gold
Each project that has an unlocked production also gives you a hint as to where to find the bill corresponding with its production. If you wish to not use the unlocking research projects and keep things vanilla all you have to do is simply not research the projects
What makes this different to other mods that add infinite resources?
Balance is the Key part of this mod. I spent a long time developing and testing things to make this mod feel like its apart of the game in the best way. An infinite resource mod should not make you feel overpowered, but it should also feel natural and that’s what this mod brings to the table. It brings balance, not with resource costs but with time management and pawn expertise. When you unlock a resource, it should feel rewarding you really do put aside the time to make what you absolutely need rather than exploding your wealth or ending the game far too early. You really do make a point to have an artist for a certain resource or a doctor or an herbalist. Things like this that don’t take away from the game but add to the experience of the game, that’s how a mod such as this one should feel like. The research itself is its own story that brings emotion and engagement to unlocking the bill productions. This mod really is a hyperweave adventure.
