Shield-maiden Portrait Pack – Companion & NPC Replacer
"A shieldmaiden is a woman who has chosen to fight as a warrior. Despite the name, they don’t necessarily carry shields."
This is my personal picks for the Female companions, and also contains a new portraits for Hrodgerda and Grainne.
I may add more portraits to this pack for the other Female warriors in the game at a later date. You might think some of these do not fit into the game, art wise, but they are my favourites at the time of upload. I may come back and edit or change them to something more inline with the vanilla portrait art style.
All the images are pulled from the internet, edited in photoshop and getpaint.net, then resized for the game. Eydis, Hrodgærda and Grainne were all edited alot from the images I started with. For example with Grainne I added the face paint from the vanilla portrait onto my own one and with Eydis I aged her up with wrinkles compared to the smooth skin from the original image. The others I just improved the vibrance and details. Its definately been a few hours work. Im still unsure if I like the Eydis portrait, so if anyone finds an image of an aged Viking lady I would consider changing it.
If you wish to only use one or two of the portraits and none of the others, heres how to do it.

– You can then copy the ones you want into here: DocumentsMy GamesExpeditions VikingCustom Portraits
-Then you will have to unsubscribe from here so mine stop overriding everything in the Documents folder.
