Kuopio – Uninhabited (Roads Only)
Kuopio is a map inspired by the rough lake topography of Finland, combined with the mountains of Sweden. It features three main landmasses separated by an island-filled water channel, with shorelines that boast many inlets and bays. To the northeast is a small mountainrange with steep slopes – you’ll need cablecars to reach the ore veins here! Centrally and southeasterly (is that a word?), there is plenty of flat land and gentle hills to build a vast metropolis. To the north is scenic forests and a lake that would make a creat tourist spot. In the south, there is a large city split between your Republic and the West.
I wanted to make a map that encouraged the use of boats and ferries for goods/passengers, as well as cablecars. There are no prebuilt buildings (except for those outside the border), and only a few roads/railroads – mainly those that I shaped the map around near the mountains.
Please let me know if there are any issues with terrain or resources.
