Description:

Allows a second player to control the enemies!

Tired of local co-op? This mod changes it into local PVP! Instead of helping the main player, the second player is randomly given control of enemies. Player 2’s goal is to use the enemies they can control to impede the progress of Player 1, eventually leading to their death.

Currently a work in progress. Many types of enemies cannot yet be controlled, because each one has to be programmed itself. I’ll be updating this regularly to add support for more enemies!
Current list of supported enemies is here: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/850898216/133255810024217441/

Additionally, it is still possible for the second player to use bombs etc. I don’t think this is possible to fix with the current api tools.

If you’re running OptionsMod, this mod has a number of settings that can be configured. You can change the HUD, make balance changes, and try out various new features. You can get OptionsMod here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=903399751

=====[Enemy Controls]=====
The controls for enemies are usually the same as for a normal player, just move and shoot.

By dropping in and out, P2 can cycle through the controllable enemies in the room. If you get an enemy you don’t like, keep re-joining until you have the one you want.

Some enemies (mostly bosses) have multiple attacks. Any special attacks the currently controlled enemy has will be listed in white text near the bottom-left of the screen. The name of the attack will be accompanied by letters stating what movement and attack keys must be pressed to trigger the attack. "M" stands for movement, "A" stands for attack, L/R/U/D stand for the cardinal directions left/right/up/down, and "X" stands for no input. For example, "MU + AL" would mean the player must move up and attack left to activate the attack. "MX + A" would mean the player must stand still and attack in any direction.

In the bottom-right corner of the HUD is a meter that represents how long until the enemy controlled by P2 may fire again. If you’re subscribed to OptionsMod, you can disable this feature, as well as enable optional HUD features.

FAQ

Q: Does this require dlc?
A: Yes, Afterbirth+ is required for this mod to work.

Q: How does player 2 control the enemies?
A: You need to connect a controller for player 2 to use. They join in by pressing the start/select button on the controller once the game has started.

Q: Player 2 joined, but they can’t seem to control anything! Why?
A: Not all enemies can be controlled, so in some rooms player 2 just can’t do anything. If it doesn’t work at all, try disabling other mods you have installed; they might be causing conflicts with this one.
