Description:

(I know there is a mod for this type already, but it has the wrong lengths and stats. I wanted to give my home town trains some love and make a fitting model to my BVG Type J/Jk)

After German Reunification, the BVG had a great need for a new series that was uniform for East and West. In 1992 the new H series subway trains were first ordered. In 1995 the first prototypes were initially tested on the Adtranz factory premises in Hennigsdorf before they were used on subway line 5. Series delivery began in 1997 with an initial 24 trains. In 2000 another 20 trains were ordered.

Originally the wagons in the small-profile Hk series were supposed to be delivered at about the same time as those in the H-series. However, development progressed slowly, so that not even a test train was available until 2001. In total 24 trains were delivered until the end of 2007.
