Description:

An exhaustive visual modpack utilizing the best work that Isaac’s community has to offer. Hundreds of item, familiar, enemy and boss resprites, and countless other improvements from 100+ mods and 60+ authors.

Note: Subscribing to all the mods in this pack isn’t the same as using this mod! It’d cause an unplayable mess of mod conflicts, and you’d miss out on hundreds of exclusive touch ups.

  • Everything up to par with Repentance’s sprite work
  • Charms of flash Isaac restored, while retaining Rebirth’s strengths
  • No sprite recolors! Items and enemy variants feature unique designs
  • No subscribing to 100+ graphical mods + eliminating the resulting lag
  • A consistent, cohesive style
  • No changes to gameplay
  • Extensive mod support
  • Improved visual tells
  • No (added) memery
  • make game pretty

  • 500+ item resprites
  • 150+ trinket resprites
  • 175+ enemy resprites
  • 100+ boss resprites (includes champions + delirium forms)
  • 60+ portrait resprites
  • 90+ familiar resprites
  • Hundreds of new costumes
  • Beautified stage backgrounds + doors w/ Mod Config Menu configurables
  • Improved pickups (coins, bombs, keys, pills, runes, etc.)
  • Enhanced slot machines + beggars
  • New item pedestals for rooms
  • Custom co-op ghosts with mod support
  • Prettier + more detailed character select
  • Mod support
  • Just a lot. The patch notes are 30+ pages I can’t even BEGIN to get into it here

Supported mods:

See this collection for links to the supported mods!

  • Fiend Folio
  • Retribution
  • Revelations (Narcissus item parity WIP)
  • Repentance Plus
  • Community Remix
  • Fall From Grace / The Boiler
  • Andromeda
  • Transformations Plus
  • Enhanced Boss Bars

Support planned for (in no particular order):
  • Epiphany
  • Isaac Reshaken
  • Ipecac Community Mod
  • Mei
  • Samael
  • Sodom + Gomorrah
  • Bertran
  • Mastema
  • Nemesis
  • Zach

NOT compatible with:
  • Most graphical + meme mods. (If you go to the mod folder, open "metadata.xml" with Notepad, and add ‘!!’ to the ‘name’ section it will likely fix this, but beware of side effects— this sometimes breaks animations.)
  • Repentance Champions (slight visual issues– functions fine otherwise)
  • Smaller issues with content mods where they will not be consistent with CVO designs.
  • Lots more, probably. Lmk in the comments!

Incompatible mods should never crash the game, but can completely break animations for sprites resulting in much confusion and ugliness when encountered.

I can’t support every mod, but you can comment ones you’d like me to. If you’d like to chip in with the mod support directly, please send a message my way. I’d gladly accept some help!

See this collection for included mods.

Or go to this link[docs.google.com] for a complete list (some mods were deleted during this pack’s two years of development.)

Leave feedback in the comments. Changes may happen if certain sentiments are widespread or compelling arguments are made, but I can’t be super flexible with it. It’s lots of work! For example, I will not change the blood color back. Ever. Even though it’s mod compatibility hell.

Ultimately this pack is my vision on how Isaac should look, and it’s my opinion with no correct answer. If you dislike something in the mod, I suggest creating a higher priority mod with the changes you desire. Editing CVO directly will sometimes delete your work and/or prevent updates, so don’t do that.

If you want other takes on similar modpacks, see TBOI Resurrected (it includes some small gameplay tweaks) or Kattack’s Resprite Collection for different interpretations of Isaac.

Bugs exist, and there’s a few I can’t fix without a coder (I am not one). You can report them in the comments and I’ll try to get to them eventually if they’re fixable.

I love this project very much, but it’s unlikely I can update it frequently. After all, it doesn’t (and shouldn’t) pay the bills, so it can’t be my full focus. So treat it like every update might be its last.

There’s many graphical mods out there, but not all of them are of the same quality, or the style I am looking for. Thus, there’s quite a few sprites I’d love to add to the pack. If you know of any good sprites for the list below, let me know!

Well, first, please consider commissioning the extraordinarily talented artists who did the real work for this pack, (or at least view their work). Such as Ferpe[ko-fi.com], PixelPlz, shuaner (nsfw), eyeguy, EM0RY[linktr.ee], Cometz, ALADAR, chug all this, Shynova, HoneyVee, Peas and lambchop_is_ok.

If you still want to support me, check out my YouTube channel where I do highly edited and scripted content, generally on niche gaming subjects.
