Description:
Blade Takes to the Streets (Fighter the Movie the Game)!

Blade, the pawn of M. Bison, was a last-minute character addition in the cult classic arcade game: Street Fighter the Movie, now sprite ripped into Rivals of Aether! He’s a simple but effective rushdown that makes up for his lack of range with solid frame data, a fast disruptive projectile, and a powerful comeback mechanic in the form of Danger.

MAIN MECHANIC: Danger

When Blade is at over 100%, they gain access to a Danger attack by pressing ATTACK+SPECIAL, which fires a powerful bazooka projectile!

NSPECIAL: Assassin Dagger

Throws a quick, weak blade that flinches grounded opponents. The aerial version throws daggers at a diagonal and can be land-canceled!

Watt tip: Daggers are really fast and disruptive, so I’d use them pretty frequently to shut down the opponent, especially up close where you can potentially combo off of them.

FSPECIAL: Life-Shaver

A multi-hit spinning dagger attack that propels Blade forward as long as Special is held down! It stalls Blade in the air briefly, making it a decent recovery option.

Watt tip: This can act as a pretty decent finisher! Sometimes holding it into the opponent’s face can catch them off guard too.

USPECIAL: Teleport

A quick, short-ranged teleport that goes through the stage and can be land-canceled. The teleport has a hitbox that leads into a backwards command throw!

Watt tip: This is REALLY funny offstage 😉

GROUNDED DSPECIAL: Neck Hanging Tree

Blade grabs the opponent by the neck and strangles them. It’s a short-ranged attack, but deals a lot of damage and leads into a tech situation!

Watt tip: The range makes it kinda hard to use, but the damage and tech chase make it worth going for in a pinch! Plus on a lot of characters, you can get a free Jab out of it ;P

AERIAL DSPECIAL: Sky Dagger Kick

Down Special has an air variant, trading the command grab for a divekick with a powerful sweetspot! Hitting an enemy or wall bounces Blade upwards, extending his recovery.

Watt tip: Use this to mix up your recovery timings and/or escape juggles! The sweetspot is also pretty easy to land, and you have a decent enough recovery to make hail-mary-ing the attack okay.

Special thanks to:
