Description:

Hello everyone I have been playing Armored Brigade for a very long time and gradually edited the database of units and divisions towards (it seems to me) realism. First of all, I wrote the names for most of the shells in the game. In addition, I found data on the armor protection of armored vehicles in open sources, after which I made changes to the database. I have added many models of equipment from the Cold War period (for example, the TOS-1 "Buratino", BM-21 "Grad", the experimental tank Object 187, the IT-1 missile tank and much more).

Organizationally, I decided to increase the role of artillery on the battlefield, which is generally typical of Soviet doctrine. To do this, I combined some self-propelled guns and howitzers into artillery batteries, adding a unit to adjust fire and increasing ammunition. For small scenarios, I added GRU special forces and a sniper for the USSR.

I also added motorized infantry on a Ural truck and mobile scouts on UAZ trucks. D-30 howitzers and heavy mortars can now be transported using trucks (it is clear that the computer will not move them itself, this is done for the player who took the side of the USSR).

In addition to the global (relatively) changes, I made a lot of minor adjustments, many of which I can no longer remember myself. For example, now tanks cannot fire their main guns at helicopters and airplanes, because in real life, although it is possible (theoretically), it is practically never realized in practice due to many reasons.

I have slightly changed the characteristics of guided missiles, as well as MANPADS systems (now they differ depending on the model). Besides, I added the organization of tank platoon, which is typical of Soviet tank battalion (4 tanks instead of 3 in a platoon).

As for the scenario, I decided to make a new faction in the game, the GDR rebels, in order to simulate the beginning of a military coup in East Germany at the beginning of the conflict. At the moment, 4 missions of intra-Germany showdowns and 4 missions of the Soviet-American clash are ready. In the near future, I will try to post all this here so that everyone can test what I have done.

The game version on which I made the mod is 1.068.
