The Interior is more or less a complete rework, the exterior has some major changes as well.
The Achilles is a Mid- to Lategame CV, with upgrade potential that should level out somewhere around 8-10 Aux cores (limit is actually untested, I am too lazy for that right now, might update later). It is heavily armored, especially at the bow, but has very low agility. So don’t use it if you prefer fast moving ships.
If you can live with the agility – or even enjoy it this way – the ship can easily take on drones and weaker legacy ships. It is focused on combat and provides only little production capabilities, but has a seizable hangar.
Upgrade possibilities:
-2x additional forward Adv. Thrusters
-1x additional backwards XL Thrusters
-Up to 6 additional fixed cannon weapons
-Up to 2 additional artillery turrets
-Up to 8 additional turrets
-1x additional advanced generator
-supports up to 8 ‘small’ and 2 ‘medium’ Shield Upgrades, (4/4/1/1/0/0)
-1x Adv. Constructors
-Teleporter
-Repair block
Note this ship is not upgradeable into a dreadnought, you will want to replace it at some point.
(Also not a heavy lifter, don’t go on high g planets…)
