Limitanei Garrisons
This mod replaces some of the vanilla Roman units with different limitanei units in order to introduce a little variety into settlement defence. The Limitanei Borderguards has been renamed to Pseudocomitatenses to distinguish it from the garrison units.
Garrisons are larger than vanilla.
Unit upgrade system added and custom units created. Also available in custom battles:
Limitanei Spears > Limitanei Armoured Spears > Limitanei Armigeri
Limitanei Swords > Limitanei Armoured Swords > Limitanei Armigeri Swords
Auxiliares Sagittarii > Sagittarii Gravis
Limitanei Auxilia > Numerus Levis
Equites Sagittarii Limitanei > Equites Stablesiani
New unit added: Garrison Cheiroballista (with a single piece to aid mobility in settlements).
They are made with mostly vanilla assets so as to blend into the vanilla game. The shield patterns are custom made and a couple of items were imported from Rome 2. This is an old mod that I rediscovered while cleaning up a few folders. Rather than delete it, I fixed a couple of things and here it is.
