MI-8-ish (Semi-Simulated Cockpit)
This is a slight recreation of the old Soviet Mil MI-8. Features Include:
- A fairly simulated cockpit
- Accurate UV-26 Flare Computer
- A pre-programmable R-863 radio (orange micro controller to change presets)
- Another not-accurate radio with 9 in-flight-programmable radio channels along with a preset mode for walkie-talkie channels.
- 120 rockets within 6 rockets pods.
- 20 seats for passengers
- A 7x7x21 block cargo space (1.75m x 1.75m x 5.75m)
- A working rotor brake
- 6 doors- a cargo ramp, hatch in the floor of the cargo hold, 2 sliding doors on the sides, and 2 sliding windows in the cockpit
- Rocket Sight with brightness settings and parallax
Start Up Procedure
1. Flip all 4 breaker switches (Battery ON {bare minimum for start up}, UV-26 Flare Computer ON, VHF & UHF, and Rocket Sight)
2. Flip Rotor Brake Switch
3. Switch APU ON
4. Press Hold Heading ON, Gyro ON, and Alt. Hold ON (Alt. Hold and Heading Hold go OFF on take-off)
5. Switch Left Fuel Cut-Off and THEN Switch L. Eng. ON and THEN wait for 13 RPS for L. Eng. RPS
6. Switch APU Off
7. Switch Right Fuel Cut-Off and THEN Switch R. Eng. ON and THEN wait for 13 RPS for R. Eng. RPS
8. Hold 5 on your keyboard for 2 seconds to disable parking brake and disable Alt. Hold and Heading Hold
You are ready for take off
