COMPACT: Politics Module
This mod adds new abilities and modifiers to all government types create further distinction between them. Part of my COMPACT mod project.
WARNING: Has not received balancing pass yet.
DICTATORSHIP: Laws cost no upkeep, but increase the "Representatives not in Senate" approval penalty
FEDERATION: reduced overcolonization penalty, but reduce Dust and Manpower income from Systems; Decrees allow Dust and Manpower generation on demand
REPUBLIC: additional super laws can be passed at high upkeep for experienced parties
DEMOCRACY: Increased overcolonization penalties, but Industry bonus at happy/ecstatic approval; "mixed" laws requiring support of 2 parties
Future Features:
-changes to existing laws
-Republic laws that improve over time instead of instantly being better
-More "Mixed Laws" for Democracy
-More Decrees for Federation
-Feudal Empire government for United Empire (possibly)
Known Issues:
-non-English versions use English localization for new content
-Republic Super Laws can be passed if the forced version is already active
-No new icons yet
-Descriptions and titles are placeholders
-some tooltips are oddly formatted or do not update with game speed (e.g. Dictatorship Law Upkeep modifier shown as "x0 Influence")
