RF02 – Ventress A (Refit)

The RF02 – Ventress A is a refit of the classic RF02 – Ventress
This refit focuses mostly around power, engines and overall ship mass. In short the ship is much lighter has more thrust and more power at the expense of firepower.
Firepower is reduced to almost entirely defensive assuming the captain will be able to acquire additional CPU via Aux or Quantum cores and add more firepower then.
The ships overall armour has been reduces from hardened steel to just steel but the frontal armour upgraded to Xeno and utilising decoy thrusters to draw fire to the nose of the ship.
If you are taking damage on the hull, ensure the front of the ship is facing the incoming fire to minimise risk to vital systems.
Thrusters are configured to give equal forward and reverse thrust so the ship can be flown backwards for quick strategic withdrawals.
The ships overall visuals and dynamics are much more sleek and aerodynamic. 4 under powered and heavy nacelles replaced with 2 lightweight powerful nacelles utilising drive thrusters for extra torque and thrust power.
Additional improvements include:

– removed hotspots
– new efficient gravity generator
– expanded lower hangar bay
– expanded storage
– new harvest box
– better pilot visibility
– more weapon hard points
– expanded captains quarters
– larger bridge for more crew
– massive upgrade potential and space for additional devices.
