Ideologies in EU4
Ever play civ 5 brave new world? It’s like that. This mod adds three ideologies: Democracy, Fascism, and Communism.
Basically, you can take a decision from the start of the game to adopt one of these three ideologies. (They are mutually exclusive.) Upon adopting an ideology you gain 3 small passive bonuses relating to that ideology. In addition, each ideology has 5 (now 8) tenets specific to them that you can adopt. Each tenet gives a small bonus and lasts all game. You can have all five (now 8) tenets up at the same time. You unlock a tenet merely by taking a decision. However, this gives you an unrest penalty for a short amount of time. (To represent dissent at your attempts to enforce your ideology.) While you have the unrest penalty you cannot take another tenet.
The focuses (In general, they are not necessarily absolute) of the ideologies are:
Democracy – Economy
Fascism – Military
Communism – Expansion
The AI will pick their ideology based upon their country size. Very large countries will be Communist. Moderately sized countries will be Fascist. Smaller countries will be Democratic.
Later on I will very likely update this mod to have opinion modifiers based upon your ideology. (Same ideology likes you, different ideology hates you.) Probably tomorrow or so but no promises. (Edit: Done!)

Now each ideology has 8 tenets each, max 8. I also added -0.01 unrest to each ideology. This allows you to see what ideology a country has by looking at the unrest in their province. (They will have -0.01 unrest from either democracy, fascism, or communism.)Update3: FINALLY ADDED OPINION MODIFERS TO THE IDEOLOGIES. Same ideologies will like you, others will hate you.
