buffy’s QoL tweaks
Fixes recipe code lagging your game every time it opens, and allows players to knock on doors and windows. I may add more to this mod based on feedback in the comments. Have a suggestion? Let me know. 🙂
The first time you open the crafting menu it will lag like it does in vanilla. This is because it is loading all of your potentially thousands upon thousands of recipes depending on how many mods you have loaded. Every time after however, it will open without a delay. I have refactored the crafting menu to ‘refresh’ (aka load every recipe) only when you press ‘Refresh Recipes’, instead of the vanilla behavior of reloading all recipes every time the crafting menu is opened.
When learning new recipes, you will need to click the Refresh Recipes button in the crafting menu for them to appear in the crafting menu.
-Knock on doors
-Knock on windows
Useful for checking if there are zombies behind a door, or just knocking on your friend’s front door to see if they’re home.
-Trash(delete) non-equipped, non-favorited items in their own inventory via right click
This is logged in a file on the server called TrashLog.

The solution to the lag when opening the crafting menu is likely something along the lines of creating an event for when a player learns a recipe, and inserting that new learned recipe into the crafting UI’s known recipes table; rather than doing a full refresh of all known recipes every time the UI is opened. However, this mod is far simpler than that. Enjoy. <3
If you’re in need of a server provider
but don’t want to have to stress about mod troubleshooting
and hard-to-understand control panel stuff, I recommend the host GTX Gaming[www.gtxgaming.co.uk]
Their control panel is simple, and takes the stress out of figuring out the boring server junk. Check them out! They’ve got coupon codes. >:)
