NOTE: Beta is no longer neccesary, you may play with or without Beta.

How Do You Use Current Beta?

First navigate to your library, and click on Rusted Warfare

Then head to Properties/Settings, the Typical Wheel Icon on the Right side.

Upon clicking it, head to Properties. A menu should pop up. Click on BETA(S) and then select Current beta from the dropdown list on the right. After which your game should update and you will be good to go!

If you want to use the Alpha version, input the code: alphatesting into the search bar for betas. The alpha version should pop up, which is more advanced, and more unstable than the beta. Personally I find it more enjoyable.

Without Further Ado, please do enjoy this mod. Thank you for your time.

Destiny Of Shinyan, Created By: Tuzikuangchiwobiancao and Aalinaco (With aid from MaxenTheWeasel, Hyasabaru, and Yuithgf!)

"You need only look at the map to see, the lines are drawn and the rifles held high. War is upon us, may the glory go to the victor."

Destiny Of Shinyan is an ambitious mod aiming to create 8+ factions based on real world powers. The exact time period is a mix match of 1920-1960’s with a high focus on relentless fodder tactics and the upcoming push for new technological advancement.

The Chen are a moderate faction, a jack of all trades weighing in massive infantry rushes to cushion the tanks and vehicles. The Chen also has the unique advantage of well priced and cheap infantry rushes and tanks, in addition to relative quality hardware. Chen aircraft are not something to put your faith in, compared to other factions they have lower damage output and health, although you may be able to respond to enemy offenses faster due to their maneuverability, cost, and speed. Your naval prowess hits a bit lower than the Khanate, while technically powerful- you lack any unique options, and your naval early game will usually be fruitless against the Shogunate and Khanate. Your fortified defenses are a poor reflection of the Republic, and are generally on par with the Shogunate, except larger. A unique facet of your fortifications is the ability to construct sea forts, slowing down enemy offenses at sea. Be warned, these fortifications are fragile, and require something with a thicker hull to give them a chance to deal damage to enemy vessels.

Khanate is a light and fast element, with reasonably high damage. It is one of the most skill based factions, alongside the Shogunate. The Defenses are rather poor compared to other factions, use them as signal towers and early-rush stymies, they can also generate some income if you are desperate. The Khanate Navy is almost as good as the Shogunate, owing to the much faster repeating cannons and the usage of torpedo boats- their offshore artillery is also quite powerful. The aerial superiority of the Khanate is similar, with a high focus of large caliber MG’s and cannons. The economy is incredibly volatile, and requires constant expansion to keep it moving steadily. (Units cost quite a bit, the faction itself has the fastest builders and quickest expansion rate.) Your armor is usually cheap compared to other factions, and are fast- as well as being well armored.

The Shogunate are a rush faction, they have much lower income, and can easily fall behind, but they also have fast and effective build times and units. A large portion of Shogunate units and infantry are armour piercing, and fast. The Shogunate tanks and armour are also fast, lightly armoured, and deal heavy damage with the variant Flak Gunneries that are mounted on most vehicles. A large portion of the Shogunate build tree is customizable, owing to common template variants and a high need for efficiency due to the small economy, reusing material and parts. The Shogunate Airforce and Navy are incredibly good in general, the Navy mounts larger artillery from the very start, and the Airforce pushes the limits with suicide bombers and giant Airships.

The Republic is a high cost, high output, high time faction. Everything takes longer to build compared to the other factions However the payoff is good early game, most of your infantry and vehicles will be above par. In addition the aerial prowess is more than sufficient. The Artillery/Tank Destroyer’s are top of the line in terms of damage output and range. And most importantly, the overall armour value is gigantic compared to other factions throughout most of the game. The Republic also has an excellent selection of fortified defenses to choose from: naval mines, landmines, barbed wire, concrete tank traps, and exceedingly multi role capable bunker variants.

The Federation is the most recent faction, and is slowly being added to, and the exact mechanics are still in flux. Your early game is exceedingly adaptable, pushing out with capable mercenaries and slow, cheap armor. You almost immediately get access to armed amphibious options, and your economy doesn’t suffer any real problems that require skill to navigate. Your aerial options rely on gunboat tactics, cheap bombers and transports armed with turreted machine guns will be your main output. In terms of the Federal Navy, you will be pleasantly surprised to see a well armed roster- small, but powerful. Capable of contending with the Shogunate if your economy moves fast enough. Your fortified structures function on a similar level to the Republic, but are less interchangeable and powerful.
