It’s in a can, man
This simple mod allows you to finally extract goodies from a can, so you could use them as a trap bait, and ultimately cook something more nutritious.
And yes, I know a can of carrots usually contains more than one, so getting just one item from a can is a bit weird. But hey, it’s a game, right? And you want that trap bait, right? So whaddaya waiting for? It’s in a can, man.
It was my first thought as well. But for reasons beyond my understanding, it simply doesn’t work – while an open can becomes possible to use as bait, it never catches anything, even if I set the probability to 100%. So I came up with this quick solution – and I’m even kinda glad it turned out this way, because it’s such a cool name for a mod.
Only those that work as a bait in vanilla:
- Tomato
- Carrot
- Potato
- Peach
- Corn
Why? Just because I couldn’t think of any use of extracting other stuff. If you can – drop me a comment and maybe I’ll add others.
Actually it is; if you extract food from the "Stale" version of an open can, it will give you a "Stale" vegetable. But I take no credit for it: it kinda just worked from the box, as unlikely as it is.
Also, a small addition from me: if you chew on your can’s contents before extracting the rest, you will now get exactly as much as you left in a can.
