Description:
Gives more control over how pollution is generated in the world.

Also adds options for making Acidic Smog spread pollution, and for controlling how "nearby pollution" is calculated. They are found under Mod options.

Default values mimic vanilla behavior.

The controls in the preview image works as follows:
  • Pollution: This is the vanilla slider – it is unchanged, except that it now has an explanatory tool tip. The vanilla behavior is a bit hard to understand, as it controls the fraction of tiles that are polluted, not the general pollution level.
  • Pollution range: This controls the possible range of pollution values for the tiles that are polluted. Vanilla is 25% – 100% (as in the image).
  • Adjust pollution variance: This changes how the pollution is generated:
    • The vanilla version (i.e. not checked) leads to the effect that a low "pollution" value gives a low number of extremely polluted cells, while 100% pollution makes all cells polluted, but using the entire range of values (from "Pollution range").
    • The modded version (i.e. checked) makes the range of pollution values of the map tiles span the entire range for any pollution percentage.
