DESCRIPTION

The Artemis Class guided missile destroyers are the first class of purpose built guided missile destroyer built for Usean Navy by Tyler Ironworks. Featuring a number of design innovations, such as the combined mast and stack or "mack" which elimantes the need for , that would carry forward into future designs used by the Usean Navy.

The 9 ship class served as testbed for various new weapons systems such as guided missiles and integrated air defense. Designed to be a jack of all trades and able to operate independently, the Artemis Class destroyers commonly are seen escorting high value units like carriers or cruisers. The ship is armed with 2 Mk 46 5" mounts, 4x RGM-84D ASMs, and 4x ESSM for air defense.

Power and propulsion from four Hayes 16 cylinder diesel engines driving twin 5 blade CPPs allowing for excellent maneuverability in and out of ports and top speed of 30 knots.

Ajax, Artemis and Achilles are currently part of the 7th escort flotilla stationed at Meier Naval Base.

HOW TO USE
– Flip all the breakers on the bridge for power
– Start the Port and Starboard engines

BUTTON DEFINITIONS:

MANUAL CONTROL: This will let you take control of where the fire control radar points at.

MANUAL GPS TARGETING: Allows BGM-35 system to target something outside of visual range.

TGT: Abbreviated for "target", this will point all the guns at the radar/laser target you are looking at. It will also transmit GPS coordinates of that target via radio.

LAS: Abbreviated for "laser", this will turn on the laser and send laser gps co-ordinates and allow you to point the guns where the camera is facing.

RECEIVE JTAC COORDINATES: The turrets will point at received JTAC coordinates. This requires another transmitter to be actively transmitting coordinates on the same frequency to work.
