M1 Abrams

Following the failures of the MBT-70 project, the need for a new main battle tank was realised. This new tank would prioritise crew safety above all else, utilising new inventions such blowout panels to divert ammo cookoffs away from the crew, Chobham composite armour, and a 1500hp Gas Turbine engine. The newly designed M1 Abrams entered service in the american army in 1980.

Driver Startup Process

Enter the drivers seat by entering from the turret (I couldn’t fit a hatch)
Enable "Main Power" and "Start Engine"
Wait for the driver MFD to read "Engine Started"
Hit "Space" to disable the parking brake

Gunner Startup Process

Enter the Gunners seat via the commanders hatch on RIGHT side of the turret.
Enable "Unlock Turret Traverse"
Enable extra monitors as necessary

Fire Control System

The FCS is very simple and easy to utilize.
The centre square is where the shot will go, and the lines are used to help with lead.
You can laze a target by pressing "1" which will automatically raise the gun to account for drop.
You can switch to using the Machine gun to flipping the "Main Gun/Coax" switch.

Arcade Mode

At the rear of the turret base INSIDE the tank you can find the "Arcade mode" switch.
This allows for the tank to be controlled purely by one person.
You will still need to enable the engine at the drivers seat but you can control the throttle, steering, and braking using the arrow keys and "6" on the gunner seat.
