Elysium Sector – Mission 3
Another day, another mission. Reward for good work after a few hours of sleep and a chance to recharge the batteries on our suits. Archie has launched an all out attack in retaliation for the destruction of their plasma bugs and hopefully it means that we got the majority of them.
The mission today is to clear out the city of York and its spaceport with the aid of the remnants of the 1090th and 1070th Amesbury National Guard divisions. It seems that the spaceport is the heart of Archie operations in the area, so we will handle it, while the national guard will retake the city.
The city was abandoned by the national guard once the civilian population was evacuated but it also meant leaving behind a lot of supplies, including food, that was meant for shipment for the rest of the solar system. In addition, securing it means gaining access to dropships and whatever else remains functional.
