Set Bonuses
This mod changes several of the Item Set bonuses for Legendary Lords in the game, targeting specifically the ones that were given 25% bonus Allegiance gain from military allies of their own race. I personally found these to be utterly pathetic when compared to some bonuses such as Imrik granting his entire faction +3 Melee Defense for his set. I’ve rarely if ever used Allegiance points in my own campaigns, and see very little reason to use it on a military ally of a race I am already playing.
Listed below are the changes made. Many of the set bonuses had two applied benefits (most often a +1 faction wide bonus to public order/control), these have been kept and the only modification has been to the Allegiance bonus.
Louen – charge bonus +10% cavalry all armies
Malekith – diplomatic relations with Dark Elves +10
Morathi – captives captured post battle +6% all armies * see below
Thorgrim – artillery ammunition +10% all armies
Franz – infantry speed +12% all armies
Grimgor – weapon strength orc units +10% all armies
Tyrion – diplomatic relations with High Elves +10
Boris – lord recruit rank +3 * see below
Katarin – diplomatic relations with Kislev +10
Mazdamundi – diplomatic relations with Lizardmen +10
Greasus – diplomatic relations with Ogres +10
Queek – diplomatic relations with Skaven +10
Arkhan – research rate +30% * see below
Settra – chariot recruit rank +4
* Boris originally had a reduction in Allegiance to borrow an army of 20%, while not the same as many others only getting a 25% bonus to Allegiance gain from their own race, I still thought it to be incredibly weak.
* Arkhan and Morathi are interesting ones in that they have bonuses to Allegiance with Vampire Counts and Slaanesh respectively rather than their own race. I’ve changed this for now, but may revisit it in the future.
The diplomatic relations bonuses may be temporary, I’ll need to see how it plays out in game.
This should be save game compatible, but as always, your mileage may vary and use at your own risk.
Removed the overwriting of the sets, this means they retain their Allegiance bonus in addition to the bonuses listed above. This should be compatible with the 3.0 release (as the overwriting would make the new set bonuses for the Chaos Dwarfs not visible), unless CA changes some things pretty heavily.
