Description:
SR 5-BEL ‘Brighton Belle’ & British Pullmans v2

(Aka Generic Pullmans v2)

Been wanting to do this for a while, and it sort of mutated into a whooole thing, as is….pretty standard for me at this point, really >.> I’ve also got a few more things I’m tempted to add. So watch this space.

This is less of a Generic Pullman pack than anything now, and comes with a bunch of sort of analgamated generic variants based on common varieties.

They all have the same stats so you’re free to use them however you want. I *might* adjust the balancing or stats at a later stage, but the high top speeds are intentional and also push the price up, making them a bit more expensive as ‘premium’ coaches, matching IRL use. For now I like that you can use any of them in the same way.

I’ve also listed a third rail mod as required – note that it isn’t required but strongly suggested for the 5-BEL. Due to gameplay limitations, the 5-BEL is (from a gameplay perspective) considered a diesel locomotive and doesn’t require electrified or third rail tracks to run. But if you want to maintain the illusion of third rail then you probably want the mod listed.

This can also be used alongside the old Brighton Belle mob, but for all intents and purposes its a replacement. But there shouldn’t be any compatability issues.

Labels!

This mod has a few custom labels that are used, and I’ll try to explain them here.

In the train name, the first set of numbers will display as the vehicle number.

Use [] parenthesis to display the ‘train name’ (ie naming the train ‘Train 1 [Brighton Belle]’ will show the text ‘brighton belle’ on the name boards on the roofs of Pullman coaches.

Some of my other mods use {} parenthesis for locomotive names – ie on the HR Clan class, naming the train ‘Train 1 {Clan Campbell} will show the name Clan Campbell on the locomotive.

So on a Pullman train headed by a HR Clan class, you can name the train ’49 {Clan Campbell} [Scottish Belle]’ then the locomotive would display number 49 and Clan Campbell as the locomotive name, while the Pullman coach boards will display Scottish Belle. Make sense?

Additionally, the headboards on the 5-BEL will show the route or line number. So if you label the route ‘line 14’ ,then 14 will show on the headcode box.

Features

A total of 270 different models to choose from.
-6 variants of Pullman Coaches spread across 5 different body types and 16 livery variants, reflecting a generalised slice of the types of pullman coach typically being built between 1905-1945.
-Powered 5-BEL units are available in both pre-arranged sets as well as the powered units alone (so if you want to make your own sets you can)
-Full ageing support. Detailed dirt and rust maps accumulate dirt and paint thins and fades as the wagons age.
-Tint/recolour support available for all liveries.
-Neatly organised menus, organised by body type, wheel type and livery.
-Placeable rail assets available in new or aged versions of all models.
-Sounds! A massive thanks to Planesimple for allowing use of the coach soundset from their BR Mark 1 pack.
