Garrison Duty
Tired of the fact that I have Garrison structures everywhere but get no real benefit from them other then protection, I gave all the Garrison Structures extra effects to flesh out their purpose. Now the Garrison chain provides passive bonus experience to all units excluding Lords and Heroes. This simulates the effect having an experienced manpower pool to pull from as well as most militaries tendency cycle men from posting to posting due to promotion and demotions, thus spreading his experience among each unit and rank. The more Garrisons and Military Bases you have manned, then logically the more trained personnel you should have in your manpower pool. The chain now effects Public Order as well, since more soldiers should mean more patrols thus more order. All this comes at a cost however. The Defensive Chain buildings now have a Maintenance Cost paid each turn. Starting from 100$ going up to 400$ Garrison Buildings now impact ur economy directly and require more thought before use. So if you like to mindlessly put one in every settlement you might not enjoy this mod. Spamming iasn’t advised but as long you upgrade them with care to keep pace with your economy, its not really to bad. You can also afford to forgo building public order chain buildings for more economic ones to help off set garrison costs, or double down on both to get regions under control quickly. With these additions the Defensive chain now feels more tied to the overall game rather then an after thought. Basically this mod adds nice incentives for how defenses are already used, disadvantages to make you consider when best to use them and works to escalate the game by helping veteran units become more common as the game progresses and factions get bigger.

+15 Exp per Turn for all units in faction
+3 to Public Order in Local Province
+1 to Public Order in adjacent owned Provinces

+20 Exp per Turn for all units in faction
+4 to Public Order in Local Province
+2 to Public Order in adjacent owned Provinces
325$ Maintenance Cost
Tier 3 Major Garrison
+25 Exp per Turn for all units in faction
+5 to Public Order in Local Province
+3 to Public Order in adjacent owned Provinces
400$ Maintenance Cost
To put it in perspective it takes around 1000Exp for a unit to level 1 time.
This doesn’t effect Lords and Heroes. They don’t pull guard duty. Its good to be the King.
