Description:

Ignition Point v3 is a land vehicle project based heavily on later Ignition Point V2 entries; the release of IPv3 will coincide with a lot of IPv2 mods being rebranded, too, since they’re much the same, but with subtle changes for gameplay.

The Republic of Andoria is a radically democratic nation and most powerful member of the Federation of Europa. Scarred by years of war and threatened more than once with genocide by fascists and communists alike, Andoria has become a superpower out of perceived necessity. They believe that, if their nation falls, liberty and freedom as a concept die with them.

This mod contains the Andorian IFV-80 prototype, a radically innovative IFV design boasting a 40mm autocannon, smart ammunition, advanced fire control systems, and composite armor. Unlike other IFVs, it lacks a missile or auxiliary armor-penetrating secondary weapon, relying on incredibly potent 40mm APFSDS to deal with armored targets from the side. As well as this, it has a 40mm airburst round, for usage against aircraft and soft-skinned vehicles. It’s quite mobile and relatively compact for an IFV as armored as it is, being fully proofed against 12.7mm rounds and capable of taking more hits than any other IFV of its era. As well as the 40mm autocannon, it has 2 12.7mm HMGs and 4 clusters of smoke launchers.

There are 2 versions, the normal IFV-80(P), and the IFV-80(P) Dismount that carries 6 soldiers in the back, if you want to use it as an actual IFV.

Pro tip: The IFV-80(P) is able to win a head-on fight with basically any other light vehicle or IFV. Use this to your advantage, but remember that tank shells will still obliterate you! There is also an aiming deadzone over your crew compartment, so try not to let enemies get behind you! Finally, if playing as the Dismount version, try to drop off your crew in semi-safe locations, not under fire, so they don’t die to splash damage. You’re invulnerable to small arms and heavy machine guns, so feel free to shield them.
