In the fifties and seventies of the twentieth century, these houses flooded Slovak villages and towns. They were built next to each other and they mostly stand like that to this day.
The realization of square houses was a concomitant phenomenon of industrialization and collectivization of urban agriculture and the rural environment. The socio-economic environment created the basis for the expansion of this house archetype. As a rule, the emergence of a mass expansion of a phenomenon is preceded by a certain type of pattern that corresponds to the ambitions of a larger group of residents. Even mass application of the square house was only possible under certain specific conditions. In this case, they improved the economic situation of a large number of families and social support. The funds of families that previously belonged to the sphere of poverty were accumulated and channeled into new construction. It was associated with the destruction of old forms of houses that reminded people of poverty. Since this could not be managed organizationally, constructionally, culturally or architecturally, the production was carried out spontaneously. At that time, television and other visual means of communication were not yet widespread, so new forms were found within reach. It was a new form of expressing a better life and living.
