Description:

Overhauls Sponsors and makes them more interesting and distinct to play with.

This mod only works with the Rising Tide DLC.

It works with Rising Tide and Rising Tide Only.
If you don’t own Rising Tide use this classic version instead.

This mod was originally created to tackle the issue that Sponsor Bonuses were extremely weak and meaningless, but Firaxis actually did a good job tackling this issue in Rising Tide (Balance-Problems aside), so the focus has shifted from trying to create even more powerful bonuses to changing existing bonuses to make them more active and allow them to shape how Sponsors are being played. With this mod, every one of the 12 Sponsors has a unique Twist that defines their gameplay or opens up new opportunities or changes, no purely passive bonuses like "Gain a few extra tiles during the game" – yes, I’m lookng at you, Kavithan Protectorate!

Sponsor Traits have been broken up into 2 Categories – each Civ has a primary one that can be leveled up and 2 Secondary Traits that are always active. The strength of Active/Passive Bonuses differs between Sponsors and the "ideal" time to level up the primary Trait will differ greatly depending on the Sponsor and the Strategy used.
