Siren

Siren the Abyssal Maiden is cursed with the ability to weave essence in and out of beings, transforming essence into missiles and creating brand new life forms to defend her.

Siren is a fairly gimmicky character with high air mobility and a meter that drastically changes her special moves. Charge up your meter to strengthen your attacks, but fill your meter too high and drastic things might happen.

Forward Special Aerial allows Siren to get around quickly with her broom, she can cancel the first Forward Special into all of her aerials with decreased momentum. Also, she can cancel Forward Special into all of her special moves which have different effects to their momentum compared to using them without Forward Special.

Forward Special and Down Special have aerial and grounded versions so use their different effects to the fullest!

Siren’s main gimmick allows her to charge meter up using Neutral Special which over time takes longer and longer to charge each bar. Furthermore she can gain meter by hitting her opponents. All physical attacks gain some meter and strong attacks gain a lot of meter. Her opponents can decrease how much meter she has by hitting her and she can also lose meter by using special moves. Be careful though, once a bar fills up it can’t go lower than that, if your current bar is empty special moves make you take damage in place of the meter charge it would use up.

Pressing Neutral Special during Neutral Special produces Minions at certain strength that will replicate attacks Siren does as well as have their own interval of attacks they do. Cancel Forward Special Aerial into another Forward Special Aerial to move the Minion left or right. If you’re standing on the ground Forward Special Ground will also move the Minion based on which way you’re facing! If Siren already has a Minion on the battlefield she can’t summon the same or lower tier Minion until after the previous one is destroyed. Siren can summon Minions of greater strength if a weaker Minion is currently on the battlefield. When Siren has a full meter instead of summoning a Minion Siren launches a powerful laserbeam that deals damage relative to how much % she takes during that state.

Siren also can boost her Up Special and Down Special by hitting a target 3 times, giving the attacks a small boost to them for further options. When Siren has at least 2 bars of meter she can cancel Neutral Special by pressing down to super charge her Up Special and Down Special attacks! At full meter Siren has a 10 frame window to press down and overcharge Up Special and Down Special for some obliterating power.

– Compatibility with Runes on the way!

– Boss Siren Stage. Referencing the Dracula boss stage Siren will hopefully get a stage of her own!

– Competitive Legality and Curation are now new goals for Siren! Look forward to more content of her in the future!

– No plans for a personalize Break the Targets stage. Siren’s projectiles make the idea of a BTT stage for her kind of hard to manage / control. Maybe in the future if I get a spark of ideas but for now I have no plans for this!

———————EXTRA_COMMENTS———————

To get Siren’s "Phobia" portrait just scroll through all of Siren’s colors in order, when you transition from Color 31 to Color 1 the portrait will change! This portrait was made in case players weren’t comfortable with a busty character showing off in the win screen. This Portrait currently doesn’t work online.

Siren’s color 15 Alt the Successor was a reward for a player who placed Top 8 with Siren in a Rivals of Aether – Extended Workshop tournament! If you participate in these types of tournaments and place well I might just give you a dedicated color and portrait for Siren too!

To activate Secret Colors hold down whatever secret color combo you want during the countdown sequence of a match. Then press Jump to confirm the color change and a sound should play. All the first 16 colors currently have at least 3 Secret Colors, so try them all and see which ones you like!
