MTL NXT OS
MTL NXT OS is* the most advanced vehicle infotainment system on the entire Stormworks Workshop. It displays almost any info you would need in a car whilst still looking extremely dashing. (hehe)
It is also extremely customizable with a bunch of options from regular stuff, like measurement units, vehicle fuel type and vehicle name and some less useful options like a fully customizable theme color and a selection of 5 stunning wallpapers.
*at least from what i’ve seen
The Gauge Cluster has a simple yet informative design, giving you access to essential info right in front of you.
Also it has a built in adjustable zoom map to help with navigation.
The Center Console is where most of the fun stuff about NXT OS resides. In the bottom right corner there are 4 apps that you can selectively uninstall if, for example you don’t care about the weather:
– Extra
– Car Info
– Weather
– Map
You can also tap then hold on the clock in the top left corner to go home. There is a built in tutorial that reminds you of the controls when the microcontroller is spawned in. (can be disabled)
The Maps App is pretty self explanatory. It’s a map with adjustable zoom and, unlike the gauge cluster map, adjustable position, so you can tap on the map to move it around then tap the R in the bottom left corner to recenter it.
The Weather App shows the current fog, rain and temperature whilst also drawing a really cute icon representing the current weather condition and time.
The Car Info App is one of the more useful apps that NXT OS houses. It gives live info about your vehicle like fuel efficiency (L/100km or %/100km), range (km/mi), battery and fuel / motor battery. It also displays the name of your vehicle so you never forget what masterpiece you are driving.
The Extra App is very special. It allows you to connect any video feed to it and have it show up when you open the app. You can connect cameras to it, or even entire other microcontrollers, like advanced engine info displays, the Sawyer News network if you want to watch news on the go or you can just rickroll yourself.
