AGOT: COW/Bookmarked Compatch

This is a personal mod I use for my own games. I’ve went ahead and attempted to turn my personal mod into a compatch as lightweight as possible to "future-proof" it against updates to AGOT (other than the BIG one that will deliver dragons).

This means that some things aren’t perfect and never will be, such as the floating trees in King’s Landing or the fact that you can’t see Summerhall’s castle when the Special Building isn’t built. These things will never be fixed by this compatch. Also, this mod will always be the LAST thing I update and only then if I get reports there are issues and I think the issues warrant my time.

Building King’s Landing on the Aegon’s Conquest Bookmark

• King’s Landing no longer starts with the Aegonfort or any additional buildings. Additionally, it’s a lowly Level 1 Castle at start.
• The special buildings in King’s Landing cannot be built unless you are of the Targaryen Dynasty or the Targaryen Dynasty holds King’s Landing in the case of Visenya’s Hill and Rhaenys’ Hill.
• Building Order
  • First, either upgrade the castle for King’s Landing to Level 2 or build the Aegonfort. You can’t proceed past the Aegonfort until you’ve completed a Castle Level 2 in King’s Landing.
  • You can upgrade the Temple building for Visenya’s Hill if you meet the culture requirement or if the Targs control King’s Landing (this allows Targs to upgrade King’s Landing even if they don’t meet the culture requirements). You
  • Once you’ve built a Level 2 Castle, you’ll be able to build the second level of the Red Keep: Maegor’s Holdfast. This is a blocker to building the Seven Gates, which will add the city wall and King’s Landing city graphics to the map.
  • You can build the first Level of Rhaeny’s Hill special building (the Sept of Remembrance) before building the Seven Gates as the Sept of Remembrance doesn’t come with graphics. But you can’t upgrade the Sept of Remembrance to the Dragonpit or upgrade the Temple building for Visenya’s Hill until you’ve built the Seven Gates.
  • Once you’ve built the Seven Gates, which means you now have the graphics for the Red Keep, the city sprawl, and the walls, you can now upgrade the Sept of Remembrance to the Dragonpit and you can upgrade the Temple building for Visenya’s Hill to Level 4, which will automatically add the [Great Sept of Baelor] special building and the graphics.
  • You are now free to build the final level of the Red King whenever you like.

Harrenhal

• Fully restored Harrenhal exists for Aegon’s conquest.
• As per lore, Harrenhal during Aegon’s Conquest is basically unsiegable as it has an additional +100 Defender Advantage and +100 Fort Level
• When attacking Harrenhal as Aegon during the Conquest bookmark and only if Aegon is COMMANDING the army, you get an event to burn Harrenhal to the ground
  
  • Doing so will reduce Harrenhal to a Level 1 castle, will destroy all buildings in the holding, and will replace the Restored Harrenhal with the ruined special building (both the Special Building & the model)

Summerhall

• Can only be built by a Targaryen who holds the province

Hightide

• Is built for the Dance of the Dragons
• Building Slot exists after the Dance of the Dragons

• COW-AGOT
• AGOT Bookmarked
• This Compatch

• I’m going to hold off doing anything else until AGOT drops their Dragon update. Most of my future ideas are around events to destroy Harrenhal, etc. But I imagine all of that will be in the AGOT release, so I’ll wait to see what they do and what AGOT Bookmarked does in response to the mod update before I add anything elset to this compatch.
