Adds Hot Bakery under Hoto Cocoa’s leadership.
Hoto Cocoa’s Hot Bakery is a civilization based on growth and diplomacy. It has a slew of early game bonuses that help Cocoa get set up until the bonuses start to fade away, while having a strong tool and incentive to maintaining city-state allies.
Common: Influence with City-States decay 25% slower, and passive generation below resting point increased by 50%. Free Granary at all cities. 1 Science and Production in the Capital for every allied City-States.
Replaces Great Merchant. Plants Academies instead of Custom Houses, and can hurry production of a city. Can be trained with a cost of 1000 at the city with the National Epic after Education is discovered. Trade Missions lose 50% of its effectiveness until Printing Press is discovered. Has a vision range of 4, has 5 Movement, and causes adjacent units to heal for 15 more HP when healing.
Replaces Market. +2 Gold instead of 1, and also yields 2 Food and Production. +1 Food to Citrus, Wine, Sugar, Cocoa, Bison, Cattle, and Sheep. Provides 1 unit of the unique Bread Luxury Resource by default. Provides 1 copy of one of the following unique Luxury Resources: Bread, Jam, and Cafe Cocoa, prioritizing the one that Cocoa doesn’t have.
If you were unable to play because of broken maps, etc, update the mod and/or uninstall and reinstall to the version after July 17th.
Cocoa is true to the canon personality, and as such Cocoa will prove to be friendly should there be no major strains between Hot Bakery and the player. Cocoa is a bit of a city-state hoard in a fashion similar to Megas Alexandros, and Cocoa will likely declare protection over many city-states. Cocoa is only average in Wonder flavor unlike Chino, although Cocoa like Nuclear Gandhi will try for growth wonders like Temple of Artemis. Cocoa will focus growth and science the most, followed by gold.
