Girls’ Frontline Pack – Vector, Springfield, AN-94 and M4 SOPMOD II
Adds Grifon and Kryuger civilizations led by Springfield and Vector from the game Girls’ Frontline.
Springfield’s Grifon and Kryuger is much less militaristic than what appearances might lead one to believe: Springfield’s military bonuses and early economic bonuses are inconsistent at best, but Springfield gets powerful midgame boost that allows Springfield to be one of the most potent diplomatic civilizations.
Trait – National Springfield AssociationWhen declaring friendship, both civilization receive 1 vote in the World Congress. Golden Ages last 50% longer, and cities that are not in a We Love the King Day or in one that is shorter than the duration of the Golden Age enters one that is as long as the current Golden Age.
Unique Unit – Tactical FairyReplaces the Worker. More expensive (70->80), but ignores terrain cost and receives a random promotion when produced.
Unique Building – BakeryReplaces the Windmill. In addition to the normal effects of the Windmill, Bakeries may be built on hills, and causes the city to gain 1 Food and Production per 4 citizen in the city. Furthermore, each type of luxury resource worked by the city yields +2 Food and causes trade routes to yield 2 more gold.
Springfield is canonically the nice girl of the Grifon and Kryuger, playing the team mom and supporting the team by running the cafe (which is denoted by the unique building). Springfield should prove to be easy to befriend: after all, Springfield is incentivized to befriend other leaders. Springfield may prove to be a fairly weak leader in the early game, but Springfield will leverage her various midgame bonuses and make for a potent mid-to-late game opponent. Springfield is quite fond of playing tall to get to the great people while also not neglecting to take care of tiles, science, and production. Springfield prefers Science and Diplomatic victory, so expect Springfield to take Freedom.
Vector’s Grifon and Kryuger is more in line with the stereotypical image of a PMC that is Grifon and Kryuger. However, Vector comes with a bit of math and AGW joke which translate into some interesting bonuses, but also packs a deadly punch that derives from her memetic imagery as a pyromaniac.
Trait – Flamethrowing VectorA unit may once per turn restore 1 movement point and gain an extra attack when moving to a pillaged tile. The first wonder attempted at the capital after the discovery of Mathematics is completed immediately.
Unique Unit – StormtrooperReplaces the Infantry. Is stronger (70->75), faster and ignores enemy Zone of Control.
Unique Building – Petrochemical FactoryReplaces the Factory. Does not require coal to build. +2 Gold and Production towards Oil and Coal, and each unit of oil worked by the city also provides +1% Production modifier to the city. (Max 10%)
While less friendly than Springfield and less chatty, Vector isn’t particularly mean and won’t go around conquering people without a good reason. Vector will be concerned with production the most, not caring either way about tall or wide play. Like Springfield, Vector is also keen on shooting for a Science victory, but less inclined to aim for a Diplomatic Victory.
AN-94’s Grifon and Kryuger is about city connections and semi-global bonuses. AN-94 may have but a mediocre early game at best, but AN-94 becomes much more capable as the game progresses.
Trait – Final SingularityA unit produced or purchased on a city with city connection gains all valid promotions and receives experience as would a unit trained from the city with the best set of buildings and wonders. Academies worked by a city originally settled by AN-94 increases global science by 5%, while Manufactories increase global production by 3%.
Unique Unit – Invincible Flat Chest BattalionReplaces the Mechanized Infantry. Is stronger (90->105), and gets 33% stronger if adjacent to an friendly unit. May carry a missile.
Unique Building – High Tech FactoryReplaces the Spaceship Factory. More expensive to build (360->450), but does not require aluminum to build. +15% production in addition to the 50% bonus to Spaceship Parts. 2 Scientist Slots.
AN-94 is gentle even amongst the likes of Springfield: While not as sociable for friendly as Springfield, AN-94 is quite timid and doesn’t get in one’s way. While AN-94 is not above declaring war, AN-94 is loyal and more interested in erecting infrastructures than building armies for conquest.
M4 SOPMOD II is about tearing apart nearby barbarians while also making great works of art. SOPMOD has the production, the science, the culture and growth bonuses making SOPMOD a great all-rounder.
Trait – Cheerful FrenzyWhen killing a barbarian unit, the nearest city gains food and production. Cities gain +3 Production at peace or +3 Experience at war per native Great Work housed in the city.
Unique Unit – GrenadierReplaces the Infantry. Is stronger (70->75), and attacks with a powerful ranged attack before melee if attacking a unit.
Unique Building – Engineering BayReplaces the Research Lab. Provides +3 Production, while also causing all Strategic Resources to yield +2 Science. When producing a unit (Purchasing does not count), grants Great Scientist Points if M4 SOPMOD has adopted an ideological tenet that increases Great People generation.
M4 SOPMOD II is both warlike but at the same time friendly as well. M4 SOPMOD II is the most warlike of the leaders in the pack, although SOPMOD is very loyal and and quite easy to befriend. SOPMOD cares more for quality over quantity: while SOPMOD is not afraid to expand, SOPMOD has a slightly higher penchant for military training and great people generation.
