EP20 is a Russian AC/DC locomotive. It was built in cooperation of Transmashholding (Russia) and Alstom (France). EP20 is a head project of the large program, which goal is to create new generation of the Russian locomotives. EP20 is the most powerful 6-axle locomotive of Russian Railways. The second locomotive of this program is the 2ES5 – 8-axle AC locomotive which intended for heavy cargo trains.
