ÖBB domestic coaches ´Lange Schlieren´
From 1980 the ÖBB procured the successor generation of the Schlieren cars. Built according to the same building principles (low car height, lightweight construction), but with the UIC standard length of 26.4m, they were given the designation `lange Schlieren`. Due to their top speed of 160 km / h, they were initially used primarily in fast and express trains and also came to Germany and Switzerland. From 1995, the wagons were then converted to push-pull trains, where they are still in use today.
