Description:

ÖBB diesel locomotives:

ÖBB 2062: 32.7 t, 60 km / h, 294 kw, 120 kn

The ÖBB 2062 is a two-axle diesel locomotive of the type DH400B32 from the Jenbacher Werke in Tirol. From 1958 65 pieces were procured in order to push back the still widely used steam locomotives from the shunting service. From the 1990s, they were increasingly replaced by the new series in 2068 and later in 2070.

ÖBB 2067: 49 t, 65 km / h, 440 kw, 148 kn

The ÖBB 2067 is a three-axle diesel locomotive from SGP Vienna. The power is transmitted via a connecting rod. From 1959, 111 units were put into service, mainly for light to medium-duty shunting service, but also for route service. From 2000, these locomotives were pushed back by the 2068 and 2070 series.

ÖBB 2068: 72 t, 100 km / h, 820kw, 176 kn

The ÖBB 2068 is a four-axle bogie locomotive from Jenbacher Werke. As of 1989, 60 locomotives were purchased. Due to a very low-noise engine, it also received the nickname `Whisper Locomotive`. It is used in shunting and local goods traffic.

ÖBB 2070: 72 t, 100 km / h, 738 kw, 233 kn

The ÖBB 2070 is a four-axle bogie locomotive of the type Vossloh G800BB. As of 2000, 90 of these mid-cab locomotives were delivered and displaced the old series 2060, 2062 and 2067. You can find them in almost all of Austria for the shunting service, but also for light route service.
