Vanilla Monster Refreshments
The forces of darkness wax ever more terrible in their power. Threats once familiar have become increasingly fierce and resilient in their abilities, extending to the most far-flung corners of our old Estate. Have you the courage and fortitude to face these horrors?
This mod is a widespread rework of the regular monsters in Darkest Dungeon, these sweeping adjustments reaching as far as the Courtyard, the Farmstead, and the Darkest Dungeon itself. In general, monsters will demonstrate new effects within their established skillsets, with the changes becoming most evident from Veteran level onwards. All monsters edited are buffed by their changes, though this mod also seeks to make status effects like Horror more common among base monsters, meaning Laudanum may become useful at last.
Caution! This mod is designed to present a challenge. It is balanced around the vanilla gameplay, but that doesn’t mean you won’t encounter hardship if you aren’t prepared. Then again, if you’re looking at this item, you might be wanting some Darkest-style suffering…in which case I hope I can satisfy that craving.
This mod edits a total of 44 different base game monsters, which also includes Bloodsucker and Husk enemies, as well as a number of enemies in the Darkest Dungeon. As such, it will very likely interfere with other mods that edit the stats of regular vanilla enemies other than snakes. If you are using this mod with The Great Monster Mash Mix-Up, also by me, place this mod above it in load order, as it works on those Husks too.

As per usual, this is but a fanmade item that edits existing data provided by Red Hook, and they are not responsible for its ravages. Your heroes going mad and dying horribly is also an expected outcome: you read the fine print, didn’t you? Oh, and by the way, I got some burly piggies posted to guard this item from thieves.
