Governments+ 1.12 Patch
Background
I just got into modding CK3 and after learning about Governments+ on youtube I tried it out.
Found out the mod had not been updated for a year and was missing key updates like legitimacy and plagues.
I have some knowledge in coding so I figured why not try and patch it with the current Fallen Eagle code.
The patch works as far as I can tell, other than the bugs listed below.
What’s New Besides the Update
TFE Imperial Competency Trees
- The patch uses the current imperial competency system from The Fallen Eagle. Instead of one law you pass as your competency increases a level as before, you now have basically skill trees for each type of competency, some of which require you to pass a competency threshold.
- Unfortunately, finding them is not obvious.
- To access one, go to the realm page, then the "imperial laws" tab, then click on the image of the competency you want the corresponding tree to look at TWICE.
What’s Not New That’s Important
No Clan Tax System or Viziers for Muslim or Caliphate Governments
I will test to see if I can add games rules to use them without breaking saves. If not, then I wont add them.
Save Compatibility
Not Compatible with saves from unmodified games
Mod Compatibility
- Unsure at the moment.
- My computer barely runs CK3 so testing compatibility issues with other mods is something I can’t do easily.
Known Bugs
- Most of India starts with the Gupta government for some reason.
- Gupta governments are not named "brahmin".
- Caliphate window does not automatically close other right window when open, leading to it overlapping previous window and is not interact-able. Fix by manually closing other window.
- Various language errors.
