Tatra KT3R
Tatra T3 – tram cars manufactured by ČKD Praha from 1960 to 1999. A total of 14,113 railcars were produced, including non-motorized trailer railcars. They were mainly used in Czechoslovakia and in the USSR. In limited quantities, trams of this model were delivered to the GDR, Romania and Yugoslavia.
Tatra KT3 is the designation of one of the models that appeared as a result of the modernization of Czechoslovak-made T3 trams. The KT3 car (sometimes referred to as Tatra K3R-NT) is, in fact, a three-section car built from two Tatra T3 trams with a low-floor middle section. The sections are connected by two articulation units, under which bogies from T3 cars are installed. There is a control system of the TV Progress SLT type, the interior and cabin of the car have been modernized. The tram also received new fiberglass masks front and rear. The pantograph and doors have not been replaced, but some cars have new doors, as well as half-pantographs.
