Ship Mayhem Archipelago
This map has been made with the idea of using ship routes to ferry materials along your production chains. While there are islands with enough flat surface to build on, the advanced resources are located in places harder to reach, which will put your logistic skills to the test.
You won’t need to terraform extensively, the islands are handmade and ample flat areas are already prepared for your fast expansion, including shallow shores that are the perfect place to fit your bustling ports.
There are two border connections with power. One on each peninsula that acts as a land bridge with the world powers. There is enough space to build starter cities and industries, but soon you will want to move your production away to some of the islands to obtain resources. Some big central islands have little or no resources, but are a perfect place to set up cities away from pollution, farm crops, or create advanced industrial chains.
To make the late game more challenging, the only access to uranium is located at the top of an island mesa. It is fully enclosed by cliffs, so building a harbour, bridge or tunnel to connect it with the rest of the islands will require excessive efforts for your republic. Luckily there is enough space to fit an airport to airlift the nuclear containers away to somewhere else where more industry can be built, or just export them to the outside world. (Default aircraft can only carry up to Uranium Oxide, as that is the last resource in the chain that isn’t inside a container. You can use modded aircraft to export the final Nuclear Fuel containers, linked below)
Obviously, the resources being distributed along the map in low quantities make this map a challenge. Maybe even barely impossible in realistic without mods. Have fun.
