Ser Junkan
Strange, sentient junk. It appears eager to join you on your quest.
- Name: Ser Junkan
- Type: Passive, Familiar
- Item Pool: Treasure Room, Golden Chest. It also has a small chance of replacing regular junk.
- Description: Ser Junkan follows the player around and targets enemies. Blowing up item pedestals may drop junk that levels him up.
- Lv 1-7: Chases enemies and does contact damage relative to his level. His melee attacks deal additional damage.
- Lv 7: Occasionally runs towards the player and destroys enemy projectiles. He will also save the player from dying by sacrificing himself.
- Lv 8+: Gains flight and starts firing spectral homing tears. Picking up any more junk will increase his tear damage.
- Ser Junkan: Picking up more than one will spawn multiple familiars.
- BFFS: Each BFFS increases the familiar’s damage by 100%.
- Box of Friends: Each activation increases the familiar’s level for the current room.
- Lilith: If the junkalot setting is off (see below), the familiar’s spawn rate is increased by 66.6%.
The default setting is that pedestals always drop junk and the familiar always spawns when picking it up. There is a console command to lower the drop and the spawn rates, and the chosen setting will be saved between games until the command is used again:
Turning it off will set the chance of spawning the familiar when picking up junk to 13% and the chance of getting junk from a destroyed pedestal to 60% (or 72% if the player already has the familiar). It’s also possible to modify these numbers by editing ../serjunkan/pickup.lua found in the mod’s folder.
