Random Remaining Completion
Currently on save file 2, I’m plagued by trying to decide who to play, as the vanilla random select tool is split for normal to tainted characters, and I constantly reroll into characters I’ve already completed marks for.
Introducing Random Remaining Completion, the first Lua-based mod I’ve got my hands on! The mod weighs the remaining hard completion marks left for each unlocked character and randomly selects a character using these (Basically, characters with less finished marks are more likely to be selected).
By default, Greedier mode is also taken into account in this weighting. If you have not yet beaten greedier for a character, there is a 1/{character weighting} chance of beginning the run in Greedier (Also, just to quickly add, if you haven’t yet unlocked Greedier, you will have to unlock it first before it is included in weightings). This can be disabled using Mod Config Menu. Not ready to take on Tainted Lost? You also have the option to blacklist characters you don’t wish to play.
The completion page on the character select screen refers to if all characters have completed a specific mark. That is, for example, if all characters have completed the beast on hard, the beast mark will be red for the random select page.
Please leave feedback on any issues you run into below. Things currently untested for include Co-op mode in all of its forms. I’ve never done co-op Isaac and I don’t have the time as a uni student to figure it out at the moment. I’ll get to it eventually, but I’d recommend just not to select it lol.
Also not currently included is the support for modded characters. Depending on the demand for it I’ll try to get it done when I next get some free time.
