Amalgamation: Arcane Archer Specialization
This mod brings a new Amalgamation primary specialization called Arcane Archer which uses a special primary weapon – the Compound Crossbow from the [WoTC]Crossbow- None-Alien Hunter boltcasters mod by Alterd-Rushnano.
Spec Overview:
The Compound Crossbow is a tier 0 Boltcaster which allows this spec to equip from the start until the Alien Hunter DLC Boltcaster is unlocked. The crossbow has been slightly modified for this spec within Amalgamation by removing the ability "Bolt Charge" from the weapon but leaving the bleeding effect untouched.
Throughout testing, I found the Arcane Archer spec extremely fun to play and with me(and I’m sure others) being a fan of bow classes, I’m very pleased that it has finally come to fruition. Just like the AH DLC Boltcaster, the Compound Crossbow also has a clipsize of one with other stats: damage=5, crit=2, crit chance=30, aim=10, bleeding chance=100% and upgrade slots=5.
It’s only weakness is the one ammo capacity…..but with a decent size slotted expanded mag, this spec can be strong to really strong. I tried my best to keep the spec somewhat balanced by adding "+IncompatibleSpecs" from secondary and tertiary specs which I found to be too overpowered but more can be added or removed in the XComAmalgamation.ini if desired.
