ES Berlin -Omni-Core Kite DN
The ES Berlin is the first of EuroSpace’s Ion Kites that features a (semi) Omni-Core. An Omni-Core is an inventive type of Ion-Chamber that allows its beam to be directed through multiple exits via a complex prism pattern. This allows the dreadnought sized vessel to track its target over a very wide firing arc with full ion amplitude, rather than having to face the enemy head on. Although, as the Berlin only operates a Semi-Omni-Core, it is only able to use 75% of its total power on one side.
Complementing this weapon is the usual suite of defense-, utility- and positioning tools common for EuroSpace Ion-Kites, consisting of an exceptionally strong Shield Neck, 2 Tractor Beams, 52 PD-guns, 6 Mine Launchers and 10 EMP Launchers. In line with this versatility, this dreadnought’s Engine layout provides good speed for kiting, chasing and orbiting, with a detachable nose for a situational speed boost. Finally, the Berlin is equipped with an Hyper Beacon, functioning as a rallying point.
