Legacy Skybox
This is not a file mod, and it doesn’t require additional installation.
The mod has been tested on version 0.6.6 in Creative, Custom Game modes.
Some facts:
- Sun changes its colour depending on the time of day.
- The sun is fake. Since I couldn’t achieve semi-transparency for sky to make only clouds visible with smooth gradient, I had to add fake sun.
- The clouds aren’t as saturated as in version 0.3.5, my attempts to make them more visible didn’t work.
- The term "skydome" is rather correct than "skybox", because the 3D model of the sky is shaped like a dome.
If the sun has a weird green outline, try setting Reflection Quality to Medium or lower.
This mod is not perfect. I have plans on how to improve it.
