FPS Booster [Lod Test]
This mod was intended as April Fool.
You activate it and there is a black screen because I set the main view invisible.
The FPS are therefore very high. Haha very funny.
Then you go back in the loading menu and activate the checkbox.
Now the game is loading correctly.
FPS may be indeed a bit higher.
But some models may look weird.
Why is that?
Now it gets interesting.
Models include several LODs (Level of Detail). These are stages of the same model with a different detail level for a different view distance. The first lods will be more detailed but also consume more computation. Higher lods contain much simpler geometry (fewer triangles) so they can be used for high distance when model is barely visible. Good models include several lods (up to 4).
So a very simple approach to save computation and speed fps up, is to activate only the last Lod and make it visible even in low distance. This way, there are fewer triangles to render and thus more fps. On the other hand there might be low-poly and blurry models.
You will notice that some models are still in high resolution. This means they still have no simpler lods. This could be a hint that these vanilla/mod models behave unperformant. This way you can explore the world and see how the models actually look like (and consume computation) from distance.

This Mod will boost your FPS insanely.
You will have no more stutters even on Large maps with many vehicles on highest graphics settings.
Of course this mod has 0 downsides.
Also it is completely free and there are 0 viruses in it that could potentially hack into your pc for gpu mining. If your antivirus software says something different, it must be wrong.

This mod has of course 0 side effects. If you find any, please dont post screenshots of it. If you do, I will hack into your savegame and place ugly models everywhere that will ruin your fps.
