Simple Trans
This mod adds a simple system for differentiating how pawns interact with pregnancy and AGAR (Assigned Gender at Rimworld).
This mod was inspired by frustration with other options for having explicitly trans pawns.
No shade on RJW, Universal Pregnancy, or Dysphoria, but none of those were what I was looking for here.
This is my first mod; please be kind! I’ll do my best to address frustrations and errors but I do have a day job or two!

Update 10-10-24: Thank you to everyone who is supportive of this mod. I’m going to disallow comments for a little bit while the hype dies down. I’ll reallow them when I get my next major update out so we can talk about issues with the update.
– Pawns are assigned cis or trans on generation, based on configurable % cis chance in settings
– Pawns are assigned carrier or sire on generation, (if cis) based on presented gender, (if trans) based on % chance to carry from settings
– Pregnancy Approach checks against ability to carry or sire instead of gender
– Lovin’ pregnancy chance checks against ability to carry or sire instead of gender
– Relationship generation to take into account carry/sire (when multiple parents generated, or when additional parent generated)
– Move cis/trans to traits?
– Pawn Editor compatibility patch (not currently incompatible, I just want to put the gender buttons with the gender buttons in Pawn Editor)
– Add ability to both carry and sire, or neither, configurable with %chance (Unsure if I should prevent clone armies on purpose here)
– Gendered surgeries to check carry/sire instead of gender
– Generate carry/sire only if pawn is in reproductive lifestage
– Ability to extract ovum from carry pawns, and order sire pawns to fertilize ovum. (Currently I use Samesex IVF to achieve this but I would like it to not be a dependency)
– Compatibility with Universal Pregnancy & Dysphoria

– RJW (You can already do most of this mod with RJW + Character Editor, it’s just manual instead of generated…)
– Universal Pregnancy, maybe? (Not actually sure if they conflict, I do know we touch the same code and do similar things)
– Dysphoria, maybe? (I don’t use Dysphoria and have not checked, but I suspect the ways we decide on the transness of each pawn are too different)
– Animals generate with genders.
– Settings menu uses sliders for adjusting rate of trans pawns but does not display those percentages as numbers.
