Norsca Upgraded
Time to make the factions of Norsca more enjoyable to play by strengthening their economy and rectifying some glaring weaknesses in their military.
Due to changes in building slots, this mod is incompatible with any other mod making changes to startpos.esf.
New skill: The Longship Seafang. +15 % Campaign movement range. Wulfric’s longship Seafang can fade from the mortal world into the Realms of the gods, travelling upon the Winds of Chaos, yet it can’t catch mere mortal ships? That just ain’t right.
The ability Seafang now does less regular damage and more AP damage to better deal with armored infantry.
New unit: Marauder Berserker Spearmen, with Frenzy and Berserk. Slightly higher leadership, health, weapon damage and charge bonus than regular spearmen. Recruited from Raiders’ Camp (Tier 2 Military Recruitment building). Helps deal with early/mid-game Bretonnian and Empire cavalry.
Giants have more armor, speed and charge bonus. Added The Chilling Aura (area slow) and bonus vs large. They are now designed for killing melee cavalry and large monsters. Purchase cost, upkeep and recruitment time have been increased.
Added The Chilling Aura tooltip to Frost-Wyrm.
Port buildings give 150/300/600 gold instead of 50/100/150, which is on par with Lizardmen and Skaven and still less than other major races.
Growth buildings give 20/30/40 growth instead of 10/20/30. On par with other races.
Major settlements in Norsca have 1/2/3/5/7 building slots instead of 1/2/3/4/5. On par with other races.
Wall buildings in major settlements provide actual walls starting at level 1, an increased garrison and added siege holdout time (1/2/3). Reduced melee defence bonus to 2/4/6 from 4/7/10. Increased cost to 2000/4000/6000 from 1000/1500/2000. Increased build time to 3/4/5 from 2/3/4.
Wall buildings in minor settlements provide actual walls starting at level 3. Starting at level 2 the garrison is increased. Increased cost to 1500/2000/2500 from 1000/1500/2000. With level 3 you get siege holdout time of 2.
