Costa Airlines (Historical)
Costa Airlines was a proposed Venezuelan regional start-up to be based at Maracaibo La Chinita Airport. Costa had planned to launch domestic services in Aug-2014 to Caracas and Porlamar, with the introduction of services to other Venezuelan destinations; Barcelona, San Antonio del Tachira and Maturin to follow after. Its revised start date was not known. In the longer term, Costa Airlines had plans to launch international services to countries throughout South America and the Caribbean. The start-up initially operate a fleet of three ex-Mesa Airlines Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft. But at the end they never flew.
