* General Pips start at a maximum of 4 and get +1 on Age of Reformation and Age of Absolutism
* Trade Nodes are rebalanced
* Ming and Timurids are split up
* The Breakthrough mechanic is reintroduced
* The following estates are mutually exclusive with their counterparts: Mana, Advisors, Government Capacity
* Colonial Costs is doubled and increases further throughout the ages
* In war times you will see new triggered modifiers that get applied depending on how much manpower you have
* The "abolish slavery" decision has been made available starting from the Age of Discovery
* American tribes have been either settled or removed
* Added and rebalanced great projects on the entire map
* Production development provides 0.15 goods produced instead of 0.2
* Barraging costs have been increased
* Autonomous Vassals are available as a subject type
* Colonists have been removed from most colonizer national ideas and are replaced with colony growth or settler chance
* There are additional a bunch of new provinces in Africa (Oasis, Harbors, new uncolonized land)
* There are more coal provinces in the world
* Idea Groups have been completely reworked (mechanic and groups)
* Outside of Europe and the Americas everyone can use tributary mechanics
* Balancing of various National Ideas
* Many more changes to balance and improve the game
