Description:
Garrison settlements are currently only for the Romans for now, due to the nature of their gameplay which is usually defensive. I may create garrison settlements for the Barbarians and the Eastern/Desert factions in the future if I receive enough feedback.

This mod aims to combat cookie cutter provinces by adding 2 additional branches of minor settlement main buildings, similar to the system in Rome II.

The three branches are:

The Garrison Branch (Romans Only): Adds more units to your city’s garrison and has walls from tier 2 up, as well as a public order bonus. Additionally, the tier 4 settlement building has high walls, which provides excellent protection to your city. However, these cities do not produce income, consume more food, and even cost maintenance to maintain.

The Economic (Vanilla) Branch: These cities are essentially unaltered from the vanilla minor settlements aside from a new picture and name for the tier 4 settlement building. I may decide to buff their money output in the future if they aren’t used as much as the farming settlements.

The Agriculture Branch: Providing bonuses to agriculture income in its’ city, these buildings are useful for fertile provinces. The Agriculture settlements also produce food instead of consuming it, and a bit less money than the Economic settlements. Their downside is that their garrisons are smaller, their tier 4 is not walled, and they produce no positive public order (but at the same time no squalor!). But, most importantly, the tier 4 building provides +1 fertility to the province it is in. That means a province with 2 farming settlements will have +2 fertility, which will be very useful in combatting climate change or growing food in arid environments.

I will continue to develop this mod, as this is just a proof of concept for now.
